Please take care of yourself and your voice! I had covid back in may & felt like I couldn’t sing anymore. Luckily it gets better everyday and with a bit of practice it‘ll be back to normal 😊

Sorry to hear you got Covid! having had it myself, I know it's not fun at all!!
Any rapid test will be less accurate when it comes to checking for viral infection. The PCR test is more accurate because it takes any small amount of viral RNA & replicates it over and over and over again. They do this in in the lab in a relatively short period of time (a couple of hours). The reason it can take a couple of days for the results to come back will be down to the staffing & number of samples received into the labs – they have to process them. You can't run a PCR test at home, as it requires a very sterile environment to reduce the risk of cross contamination – you can imagine the slightest spec of the Virus RNA sneaks into the sample, it will be replicated thousands of times & ruin the test.
The reason the lateral flow kit is only ~70% effective at detecting the virus, is because it doesn't have that time to replicate the RNA over and over again to get a higher detectable level. So if your virus levels are relatively low, it may not get picked up by the test. Not until you are further through your infection & at a peak level of Viral count.

Hi Dodie, I hope you're well! I'm nearing the end of my quarantine period (I was tested positive on 1 July but in my country the quarantine period is 14 days instead of 10 for people who experiences symptoms). Let's work together so we can get better soon~

I had it earlier this year and was fine after about a week. Day 5-7 is the worst of it, so if you can get through that, you should be ok.
I got covid and was sick for almost 2 months, it was so so rough. I had every listed symptom except the high fever. I hope you get better soon. 🥺

Ah Dodie! I’m currently dealing with covid too. I’ve had my first vaccine and tested positive by pcr and lateral flow almost 2 weeks later. Never felt so ill, wouldn’t wish this on anyone. Stay safe guys x
Those covid tests don't prove anything. I've seen people pour fruitshoots on them and it's says positive lol.
please take care of your voice don't do much even if you feel like you feel good <3 my dad had it and was the only one in our family who got it and his breathing levels dropped so bad he was in the hospital for a week he has to use a breathing machine at night every night sleep apnea. thats why he went but take extra care of yourself i heard peoples breathing being severely fucked up after having covid <3

covid still exists and it’s so irritating to me whenever i go on snapchat (or social media in general) and see everyone out partying with no masks and no social distance. just because you’re vaccinated doesn’t mean you cant get it.
to everyone who’s reading this: please keep taking all the necessary precautions and stay home if you can! there are still a lot of countries that are suffering really really bad with covid, we need to follow all the precautions and work together in order to try to slow down the spread.

I’m self isolating at the moment. I was in contact with a friend and she tested positive the day after we met up. I took 5 test and they all came back negative but my mum said I should still isolate. Yesterday at midnight I put on a mask and just ran out into the road and screamed. Then calmly went inside again. Tomorrow is my last day of isolation.
